.. ordered a new TF which should be here next week !!

Its only the baby 115 one but was on a leasing deal that was too good to turn down and its in ' Double 'ard Bastard black' aka 'Pearl Black' so should look ok and afirm my heterosexuality.

Its my first mid engined car so that should be a learning curve, are there any scary handling or wet weather traits I should be aware of ?

I found out how these handle when my mate took me out for a blast in his TF...it was mighty impressive and cornered as if on rails ablely demonstrated as we circumnavigated a roundabout at least four times...enjoy the car and don't forget to wave at all other MG owners

Does the waving thing still go on ?? Remember my father doing that taking me around in his B back in the 70's .. Will have to stick a post-it note on the sun visor to remind me !

it's rife in the MG World, there's an active owners club as well.. not just for the older cars either.

i have a 115 as well!

everyone says it lacks the power, which it does, but it is great fun. i may not of had the super cars everyone else on PH has had, but my tf is alot of fun.

this is my first midengined car as well and it certainly wont be my last.

ah yes, when cornering it'll hang on and on and on, until it doesn't. when it doesn't, it drifts. and when it stops drifting it becomes a carousel.

just be careful when you feel that first drift as the time between drift and carousel time is very very short.

Regards,
Tinman

That was what Id heard about the F and guessed the same would for the TF. My only previous experience of any mid engined car is a few laps round Castle Coombe in a Boxter, I thought I was doing really rather well but the instructor pointed out that my style of driving was exactly teh way to spin a mid engined motor.. Care and a few empty roundabouts will be needed

Just heard this morning it wont be here till Monday week ! bugger ...
