Hi all, relatively new to MG front and hope to be posting contributing more in the future, however I have encountered my first (minor) problem - could anyone provide me with replacement Windscreen wiper codes sizes for a 1973 MGB GTV8 - I am struggling to find the correct size!!

Many thanks

You might want to say which MG you have.

I just bought wiper arms and blades from Moss.

http://www.moss-europe.co.uk/Shop/ViewProducts.asp...

Assuming the GT V8 is the same as the normal GT the code for the blades is GWB913

I ended up replacing the wiper arms as well as the blades because they'd been on for so long I damaged one when trying to seperate them... Brute force wasn't the answer!

with respect (as they say at the start so you know the type of thing that will follow) you seem a little unprepared for, a derivative of, one of the classics with the best range and cover of parts

whilst there are many free part suppliers' catalogues as with any information from any sources check and cross reference the information with one or two other reliable sources - errors and omissions occur in many other sources too (Haynes, others)

if you've not already got a paper copy a reprint of the factory Driver's Handbook will give lots of information you need to know on your car including how things operate and the servicing schedule and how to do the work, (Ref: 0055) - http://www.mgocshop.co.uk/catalog/Online_Catalogue...

a DVD including factory Driver’s Handbook, Parts Catalogue and Workshop Manual - http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/Item--i-HMCC3008DVD

you'll find lots of info in the threads here to help you too

to get and keep the car running well carry out full and proper servicing (see Handbook), maintenance and repairs and drive the car frequently as this will also help and help you to learn what the car is capable of and how to drive and enjoy it

and that it it enjoy the car

oh and you'll want to research (here) the 'donkey's/Tom's dick'
