As above really, the dash looks like it's never had any tlc, the keys have worn through the paint and there is also overspray from when the car was repainted by a PO so it's been removed ready for a refresh.

From the reading I've done so far a lot of people are recommending the powdercoating approach (especially in the US) but from the quotes I've had it's not cheap c£150. If I go down the OEM wrinkle paint route then I'll be doing it ...possibly more than once!

What have other folk done/recommend?

Oh and while I'm at it is there anything I should be looking at while the dash is out, asides the obvious scan for tinworm etc.

Thanks

Powder coat looks plain wrong, wrinkle paint every time for me. Its not that difficult, I use a hair dryer or heat gun when its had a couple of coats to encourage it to wrinkle.

Thanks, a lot of what I've read suggests laying down a couple of good base coats before applying heat to trigger the wrinkling, I need to rub it all off first and then might give it a go.

If all goes wrong then I can always start again.

Also just to clarify re the powder coating, I was thinking of using a wrinkle finish also but agree it's not quite the same.
