Hi,

First post smile.

Looking for some advice really today I'm afraid. I discovered yesterday that the rear nearside seatbelt in my MG ZS+ isn't retracting (at least not without lots of encouragement). I've only had the car 2 weeks so I'll probably also call the dealer I got it at.

My question is - is this likely to be something I can easily sort out myself?

This isn't the first problem we've had - but it's probably the one which gives me most concern. A shame really as on the whole I'm liking the car.

Thanks,
Pete.

We have the same problem with the ZTT centre rear locking up, The only solution is replace the unit. so far we have not been able to repair it.

Assuming your testing it with the car on level ground, if it's not fouling anything then, then I'd swop it. They are only two bolts to replace.

Rimmer Bros. don't seem to have any new ones but I'd be happy to fit a good one from a breakers. Probably quicker and less hassle then going back to your dealer.

Lack of use can cause problems.

Check the breakers and make sure you find one that does work. Then swap. Last time I got a good used one it was a fiver ~ remove it your self which i prefer. Probably a tenner now.

Surely it's easier just to go to any scrapyard full of Rover 400s and get one out of the back for a fiver?
