Converting an MGC to triple SU . . .
Discussion
Hi I have a american intake ported for 2" carbs , -14-18hp apparently !
If you are going for triple 1 3/4 the linkage and the right carbs (bowl side) are needed. hard to come by.
Triple webers expensive and not fully reliable.
Best off is the exhaust manifold and system then inlet /carbs if ur not stripping engine. electronic ignition as well .

Hi
You could just send the keys and V5 for your nice green C GT and I can send you the same for green C GT - job done! Simple!
On the (probable) assumption that you will not take me up on my (generous) offer . . .
My logic is as follows:
Yes sorting the ex manifold and exhaust is No 1 on the list, closely followed by the carbs. Not keen on going the Weber route - so SU's it is. As I have 2 on there already, swap the manifolds and add the third (could buy recond from MGOC I see for a pair) and then create the additional linkage for the throttle (as per basic directions on MG Experience).
Now you throw a moggy amongst the pigeons with the mention of the US manifold for 2" carbs . . . !
Which could be a good idea, as I assume the throttle/choke linkage aspect would not be too tricky (for a mechanical numpty like myself!) But then - what 2" SU's do I need and where do the get the critters!
Electronic ignition in place (though quite old by the looks of it. Engine was rebuilt to fast road spec by Oselli in the mid 90's and has probably about 13,000 miles on since. Runs very nicely - I just want more!
