ZR TD questions

As title, I have got Mrs Saleen to look at the above as a mile muncher for her commute to work, anyone here have or had one and can give any insight to any problems they have etc?
After sitting in a 3 door model today (non facelift) the only negative she found was the drivers seat isn't low enough, when changing gear even with the steering wheel raised to it's highest setting her thigh (and mine did it) touch the steering wheel, anyone know if this is the same problem with the facelift model or is it something you just get used too?
Thanks

Yup-that's quite normal on them. My ZS is similar-it fits like a pair of jeans a couple of sizes too small.
The diesels are reputed to be the more robust of the engines, fit a set of SDI injectors and remap it for 130 odd bhp allegedly.
The usual ZR problems are more little niggles which can be easily ironed out, water leaks into the boot via the rear lights/tailgate seals, broken wires in the tailgate harness, cracked ABS pickup rings on the CV joints and bits of trim falling off.

Thanks for that, as I thought it would be something you just get used too!The diesels are reputed to be the more robust of the engines, fit a set of SDI injectors and remap it for 130 odd bhp allegedly.

Have been looking at a few different cars recently but spotted an MG for sale and didn't realise how cheap they had become, will search around a bit more for these as the road tax cost is acceptable along with the mpg, of course I have been given strict instructions on the colour and spec!
I bought a mint low mileage diesel Rover Streetwise as family runaround recentley. It gets 53 MPG and everyone loves it. It was a lot of car for the money. As no one seems to be able resist spinning up the turbo I would think someone who understands and enjoys economy driving could get 60 MPG out of one.

Should be just right for Mrs Saleen as she achieves 35mpg from her '07 2.0 Sport MX5Gassing Station | MG | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
