What's the current state of play with MG?

According to the wiki page the TF was killed off in 2011, lack of demand.
New car in 2013 is the rumour : http://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/new-cars/mg-next...
For now, all they are making is the MG6.

CORRECTION. Only the MG6 is available here in the UK. They are making several other models which are yet to appear in the UK. Only 21 MG6s were sold here last month ... so pretty exclusive ...
The few MG dealers in the UK are getting ready for a Diesel Version of the MG6 which should appear soon and could prove popular.
The Oriental Owners of the name MG, which they picked up along with the various designs and other aspects of the asset stripped remnants of the former MG-Rover for relatively little outlay, have not taken the UK's car consumer market very seriously so far. Hardly dipping a toe in the water which makes the MG6's participation in this season's BTCC rather puzzling as they have only had minimal advertising of the MG6 here. Few UK car consumers, as compared to car enthusiasts, know that the name MG still exists and cars are being produced.
I suspect they are being patient and seeing how their cars are received.
We now excel as a Nation selling off the family silver and other stuff cheaply into alien control. It's definitely the way to go.

I don't understand what the MG [SAIC] people are up to. As mentioned above, few folk realize MG exist and are available. My personal view? There are too many car manuufacturers in the market, with the large majority offering more or less near identical product/s. I can not see a Western market sector where they can compete with the likes of BMW, VAG [in all its forms], Ford, Opel/GM, Nissan, Toyota, Mitsubishi, KIA, Jaguar, Mercedes, Renault, Citroen, Peugeot, Volvo,...plus the unstoppable Mini brand. Customer buying tastes and markets have moved on too quickly for MG to catch up. If SAIC want volume production they will look primarily at their local markets...which again, is already awash with every manufacturer known to man.
The lesson to be learned here is SAAB. If SAAB were unable to survive who, as a manufacturer, had a hugely loyal client base, I doubt very much if MG will be a success. SAIC will need to do something extraordinarily special to remain in the market...and this will need considerable capital.
If SAIC are reading this thread...there are only so many buying customers. In the UK that's the fleet/lease market...and you'll nearly have to give the cars away to achieve volume in this sector.
