Mike,
unless I've misunderstood you why did you do all the things or dummy MoT check

I was only emailing a friend tonight as he has an MoT coming up Thursday and last year had a testing place put a hole in his wife's cars cv boot - I take mine in up to a month before to a trustworhty place that I've been using for many years now and having kept on top of the servicing I want to know if there are any faults - I've only ever had advisories (the usual one twice) and had pointed out a non-Mot issue that I'd missed

I can't say I look forward to them and whilst there always have a slight dread at what might turn up but I think they're a minimum requirement

good luck anyway, be close at hand for questions or info - I hope you greased the front before taking the car in

well done

pull your finger out we'd already had loads of good weather, been dry here all day and sunny most of the time

loads of great driving days in the winter too, plus regular use of the car is good for it, the more you drive it the better you will be with it and the better the car will get

if you've got old tyres regardless of tread depth the braking, handling, roadholding and comfort will improve by changing them for new, then try +2-6 psi

go out and enjoy tonight, nice run through country lanes to a lovely country pub, quick half, then nice run back
