bonnet wont shut

after i have been under the bonnet of my zr the bonnet takes ages to "catch" and close properly, any idead what the problem could be?

If everything is working correctly and well greased then its probably alignment.

Try lowering the bonnet slowly until it rests on the striker plate and look to see how it lines up. You can then raise the bonnet and unbolt the striker plate to move it accordingly. Do it up and try again - repeat until it closes first time.

Its a good idea to mark where it sits before you adjust anything so you know where you started from!
