All, thought I'd share this with you as it may happen to your B's. We all know there's an insulation pad behind the 4-way fuse block. Well over time this insulation pad becomes quite brittle with age and with its brittleness the pad loses its insulative qualities and in fact becomes conductive...as I've just discovered!

It transpires my 4-way fuse block connectors #3&4 had recessed within the block supplying a nice additional current directly onto the 'insulative' [read conductive] pad. This had heated the pad to come in contact with fuse #2. Over some time the pad had become so conductive that the current/heat had worn away a small area of paint below on the inner wing eek Not surprisingly, I had some electrical gremlins!

The main fault showing as dim lights, indicator, interior lights and clock failure...an interesting mix, now all remedied with a new fuse block + 2x new rubber insulative pads. I used thin rubber mat material close to hand and cut to shape.
