Advice on selling 1980 BGT please
Discussion
Good friend of mine has his BGT to dispose of. He bought it new in 1980, when he went mad filling everything with waxoyl before using it. It's done 30k miles and been laid up for a few years. It's called vermilion but looks orange to me.
He's moving to a smaller place and has no room to store it inside now.
Please can you advise where's the best place to advertise this sort of car?

Sounds like a decent condition car, proper 70's colour aswell.
There are the usual places like the classifieds here, Ebay, CarandClassic.co.uk. It would probably be worth contacting his local MG area club and spreading the word,a member there might be on the look out for a clean car. They might also have a magazine or newsletter to advertise it in.

+1. Paul, I note from your profile that you re in Banbury. If your friend is local to you it would be worth them contacting the guys in Abingdon; maybe get a valuation from the club and selling there. Often the local club guys know of someone who's looking for a particular car...there may even be someone wanting an original low mileage Vermillion GT they know of?There are the usual places like the classifieds here, Ebay, CarandClassic.co.uk. You're right, the car is south of Banbury. I've pointed the owner towards this thread, I'm just quicker onto the keys than he is!
