Hi , new to the forum ,i live in Helston Cornwall

i have a zs 180 , the thermostat needs replacing ,getting a replacement metal version from S africa, i know it can be done by taking off the throttle body,is it possible to remove the front inlet manifold without removing the VIS manifold as this would give more access, the book way is to remove all manifolds

You need to remove the plenum, but it's not a a particularly difficult job. Take a few pictures with your phone or digital camera to show how all the pipes and cables are routed, and don't forget to undo the two rubber mountings on the very back of the plenum.
