17" trackday Tyres for an MG ZS 2.5 V6

Hi, has anyone used Toyo 888's, Federal RS-R's or similar on an MG ZS 2.5 V6, for road & trackdays?? What I'm trying to establish is, what size tyre have you used, bearing in mind that most trackday tyres are 215/45 x 17, not 205/45 x 17 as standard. I know the tyre is not much wider, but just need to know they clear everything before I part with any money. Would appreciate any advice regarding size or make from those that have used them. Thanks
