Modified MGs running in France on French plates
Discussion
afternoon MG-PHr's,
We are in the process of making a move to the Pyrenees and the spectre of exporting/importing our stuff has now become a pending reality.
Aside from a couple of over powered motorcycles 9that will need 'ahem' restricting to meet legislation, I have a 1500 Midget that in the process of 'theoretical' modification. I say that, as I yet to press start on the work.
Essentially, it'll involve an engine/drive line swap (to a K series), suspension modifications and some other cosmetics.
its a road legal project and I want to remain legal once over there. I understand through myth and rumour alone that non-cosmetic modifications are a no-no out there?
Can anyone shed any light on running anything of this type over in France under French plates/insurance etc.
I have posted this in the French PH forum too. Be great to hear from an MG owner that has been through this though.
Thanks
