MGB V8 Adaptor plate
Discussion
You should be able to get that through the MG Owners Club spares department at Swavesey.
Quick question for you though - is it the detuned Rover V8 as per the original MGBGTV8? The standard B gearbox with overdrive couldn't cope with the greater torque from the V8 engine, so they only had overdrive on 4th in those models.
Anything that puts out more torque than the standard range rover v8 is right at the limits of what the overdrive unit and propshaft can handle, which is most of the V8 conversions have an alternative gearbox.

use the gearbox and the engine that you already have as templates. use them to mark spots on a bit of steel, drill/countersink the holes.
assuming the drivetrain is out of the car its 2 hours, maybe 3 tops if you go slowly.
If you dont want to make one, take the engine and gearbox to your local engineering/metalwork place, tell them what you want and collect it the next day.
