strange steering issue, its a 4 yr old car which was a cat d repair,,,had some light ish front and damage, its been repaired and had the usual checks and passed its mot last week with no issues.
steering rack has been re fixed as was loose, also new steering joint due to play tracking checked
at low speeds steers fine over 50 and it has a mind of its own and constantly having to steer to correct wander. almost feels like it has play in steering but not at low speeds.. prev owner had steering box checked and all obvious seems fine ???? any ideas thanks

Hi there,
If your car is using the OEM tyres Goodyears then there is your problem. I recently replaced all of the tyres on my 2005 MGTF and it is like driving a different car. It no longer wanders around especially at speed on white lines and a rumble between 20 to 30 MPH has disapeared. This is my second MGTF VVC and both had exactly the same problem. Changing the tyres to the owners club recommended TOYO Proxy T1R's on the latest car means I am no longer thinking of selling it.
