Brands Hatch Morgan at Borough Green
Discussion
Ive been into cars since - well since I can remember.
and today had one of the best moments ever...
My lad (10) and I just driving past dropped into the Morgan garage at Borough Green.
What a welcome (looking at us it was obvious we were not going to buy one)!
We were given a full tour of all the cars, new and old, chatted about the history, told what was coming in, what to look for.
It really made my sons day.... and mine.
The whole experience made me want a Morgan (badly) and it was also miles away from the boring trips to the local audi/bmw/any other dealer.
Why cant all car dealers be so nice?

Morgan does tend to have a family feel and most dealers are happy to talk as they are genuine enthusisats themselves.
You can get a modernish 4 seater for the low 20's - don't rule it out! I find mine is surprisingly good for day to day things such as the school run as the narrow body fits easily into spaces...
Maybe try a day's rent of one for a birthday or similar - be warned though, you will be searching for your cheque book...

I guess its probably due to volume of customers etc. Ive been to a few morgan agents over the years and have found them to be really friendly and helpful even when it is fairly clear that you are not making a purchase on the day. I especially like having a wander around their workshops (usually guided by one of the engineers) there is always a sense that they actually fix things in these places, rather than just replace broken bits.
I think it may have been some kind of breakfast meeting but i'm sure someone here can confirm that.
So, that's two contributions to a Morgan area you have made and 3 people with a caterham past. Is there a trend developing here?.........
On a serious note, i picked up my new aquisition on Saturday, a 310bhp Morgan Plus 8. Even by the standards of my old JPE Caterham, it feels pretty quick. (not so sure about the corners though).
There is something about them!
