Awesome!clap I wasn't able to catch the second race on the net but I did see the headling on the GT3 website "Morgans Dominant"

My favourite bit of comentatry from the firts race: The Morgan was behing a Ford GT and the comentators words were "well this is a bit of a David and Goliath moment.. oh he's got round him- not much of a David then! More of a goliath and Goliath moment"

On sunday while standing outside the Morgan Garage you could hear someone at work with a hammer. The quote from two young kids looking on was along the lines of

"they must be using some nails to hammer the wood back together". smashsmashsmashsmash

So innocent yet so wrong.

Was great to see the Morgan win on Sunday - the car looked and sounded stunning smile

Few more pictures of my non-racing Morgan highlights from the weekend:

My favourite Aero 8:

Aeromax - looks stunning in the flesh:

Wasn't it just a fantastic weekend.

Now it would of course be rude of me also not to congratulate you on your fine taste in Aero's as above. I think you have picked a beauty there smile

Biased? Moi? wink

Fantastic weekend for all Morgan fans beer and in the Centenary Year too party

Thanks for the comments about the AeroMax thumbup, the previous day there were three of them in the car park, one of which was owned by another member of PH.

I take my hat off to you, chaps. It bodes pretty well for the future of the company, because to my mind GT3 racing is the one that matters, and if you can cuff 911 GT3 Cups, Astons DBRS9's, F430 Scuderia and Audi R8's it says a hell of a lot for the product.

Not only did it win on the track - it sounded like a winner - definitely the best sounding car on the circuit all day. (Though the Jag in GT3 sounded lovely as well).

In comparison the Audi R8 was silent, and the F430 sounded, well a bit thin really.

Sidepipes are the way forward clearly...

Oh really?

That would of probably been too much for me all in one hit hehe

Was great to see it in the flesh - I will hang around until you start it up next time.

Looking forward to watching the progress of the team throughout the season - what happened to car 100 in the Sunday race - I did not have a radio?

Two in the same colour - Liquid Mercury, and one in almost a Royal Blue. cool

Sorry to miss you on the day, but as mr_tony says above "Sidepipes are the way forward clearly..." = rolling thunder!

Whilst it is a fantastic start to the season, let's hope they can keep their competitiveness going throughout the campaign. When we enquired what happened to car: 100 at the Morgan garage after the race, they said electrics. confused It was disappointing, as many of us felt that this was the stronger driver combination and we would have liked to see two Morgan's dicing for the lead. smokin

Are the Aeromax available in your choice of colour then? I thought it was only available in the silver of the original one off (but then my memory is pretty poor...)

Shame to see it drop out - hope they can iron out the faults in time for the next race.

Like all Morgan's, apart from the 4/4 Sport (which has a limited range of colours now), you can have your AeroMax (and/or your Aero Super Sports) in any of about 35,000 different colours. :colour: Just as the leather can also be bespoke and the other Max at Silverstone came in a specially finished leather interior. smile

As you say let's hope they have both cars running well at Adria, italy, as the rest of the grid will not have been standing still.
