Interesting. 11 photos of HRH at the factory including the visitor centre but none with the new car.

Oh you guys stitch me up every time laugh

BTW Hi Rod wavey remember me? We met at Goodwood at Mog007.

I read one of your posts recently where you referred to 'hypocrisy'.

As such I thought maybe you would like to re-count the story you told us (there was a third person there also you may recall) about you and a certain person who used to annoy you and call you up at all hours even in the middle of the night just to argue and make a point....

Go on, you tell it so much better than me... what was it you said and called him?

Good morning, Andy,

It is good to hear that you read my posts on other discussion groups too and I understand that you prefer to respond to them here and not there. I know you do understand my remark as you will remember who posted a picture of the Aero S IV (autobox) after the Aero Club meeting in France 2007 despite being asked by CM not to(NOT you, I refer to the dg). Maybe this is a bad example.

Of course I do remember Goodwood 2007 and the third person (Brian = Aeroman) and I do remember that I said I didn't like the phone call I received after I had written on emog a remark referring to the +8 with an Aero chassis. Actually I added I didn't want any phone calls at all after any postings, even if they were very friendly as in my case. In fact I had not been very happy with the group by then, with all the PC and some other things. Many know that, not only Brian and you.

When the attacks on another dg against a "certain person" started I realised there were worse things/dgs then that and now I do enjoy all these phonecalls very much and I do enjoy emog again. (Not everything but I've got a delete button.) You want to call it hypocricy? Fine! (Look what you answered A.N. Other when he introduced his new group. Now you are a moderator of this group.)

Will I discuss this any further? No. I do know all these discussions end with personal attacks. There are enough bad examples in the PH archives and I don't need to choose the "discussions" with Bartell. (Innocent bystanders should not read the following thread.)

I don't think they help Morgan very much and probably made this PH section a quiet place because some (potential) Morgan owners don't enjoy this kind of discussion. Of course some do. Just mho.

Edited to remove personal references at request of another contributor by Nubbin. Is that better?

Hi Rod, I am not really sure what to make of your response as I'm not really sure what you have said. There are 4 edits shown, two in your name, one anonymously "to remove personal references" and lastly by "Nubbin" who I take to be a moderator.

As such I'm not sure what you originally said though it is clear you had plenty of opportunity to retract (after your edits) though Nubbin still felt it prudent to edit?

I must admit in all my time here and in the midst of my battles of wit and repartee wink with others I have not had my posts edited at all. Not wishing to put too much emphasis on it as I'm not sure if the edit "to remove personal references" was by you or a mod?

Anyhow, generally, and irrespective of the above, I am quite sure that you and I can have a good debate without resorting to personal insults or the like. I must admit I did have slight second thoughts about posting my post but I must confess I have felt some of your recent actions and posts somewhat hypocritical in light of our conversation. I do accept however that people do have the right to change their minds, though I was however very surprised considering.

If I am not mistaken I think you recently disseminated info and comments taken directly from TM and commented on them on Gomog? A little bit of tit for tat going on here methinks biggrin so we'll move on, I dont think either of us is really perturbed at this. You may also see above I did not raise the point here, merely commented on others observations, in my candid way wink

You say it yourself, this is a bad example. Not quite in the same league as this big presentation and information embargo and not quite as simple as you make it out. However, I am more than happy to discuss and debate items such as this with you as I do believe it is possible to do so between us.

Please note the only person I have ever had heated debates with is Gomog/Bartell/Phazer - and yes you read that right. Though I think recently we had a bit of a civilised exchange and nearly agreed yes

Not quite how I recollect the conversation but then my memory is fading as I get older smile

You, and another, have now raised this point of my discussion with Simon twice. When Simon introduced his group I questioned his motives. Politely but openly, he responded, and I did back too. All in a friendly manner with smilies a-plenty. I even finished off my second post by adding I had already joined and posted. I do not see how in a million years you can call that hypocrisy. In fact far from it. Simon has indeed kept to his word, and I enjoy being there as much as I do here.

I re-read the thread you linked to above.

It is interesting that you refer to it as "discussions" with Bartell, as effectively it is not. It is a discussion with Phazer, though I understand how you made the mistake as it seems pretty obvious that Bartell/Phazer/Gomog (and possibly plus8) are the same person (IMHO of course though I am not alone in thinking this smile ) and this annoys me for obvious reasons. I have only ever been me here and on TM and have always declared my bias/experience/opinions clearly, though not always what certain people may want to hear.

It is very interesting that on the thread you quote; the original poster who was considering an Aero said the following, and I quote :

Well...sorry its a bit later than planned - but i have now read, re-read and digested all of the comments, posting, warrings and general back biting on this forum. Very interesting.

People are pasionate about things they spend their money on - and often it overflows into being defensive, provocative and quite 'pointy'. I am into music and hifi and the arguing over which record platyer is better, etc, often spills over into forums and ends up with enthusiasts who share a common goal, having a great big bun fight with each other.

Having said that - after very careful consideration i think that 99% of the issues, bad feeling and general provocation on this forum comes from "phazer". Sorry phazer, i dont know you and bear you no ill feeling - maybe you are just one of those people that has the ability to wind others up! Whilst its quite entertaining, it really doesnt serve a long term purpose - its a pity as aside from the reaction of others towards you , your actual car-related comments were much appreciated.

The stuff i learned from aeroman, cerealsurfer and mr tony has been invaluable. later contributions from the rest has been great too - and even the stuff from phazer was very detailed and gives me a load of pointers when i venture out 'tyre-kicking'.

Ill post more when ive actually driven one - in the meantime - please get on everyone and stop winding everyone up phazer!

Best wishes for 2007.
Bold added by me for effect biggrin

He sums it up pretty well I thought. This Phazer is the person you are defending here scratchchin Oh well maybe we're all wrong.

I agree, it doesnt help Morgan at all. Live and let live.

My intention is to encourage and assist Morgan ownership of all types of Morgan and help MMC keep giving people plenty to enjoy. I am also pretty honourable, straight talking and opinionated but happy to hear others points of view and sometimes accept them as more accurate than mine.

So I agree, lets help and not hinder Morgan in any way we can thumbup

Yes I am a moderator. The personal references were removed at the request of a fellow PHer and contributor to this thread, as the issue for which those details were posted has been resolved. I responded to that request.

Talk about conspiracy theories. rolleyes

Whoa...keep your hair on biggrin

I was confused, as I was about to post that it was a reasoned response (not that I agreed with all that was said but it was presented reasonably) but then saw that it had been edited 4 times so was not confident in saying so.

Good to know that the facility thus exists.

Hope I don't need to call upon you smile
