gearbox for duratec v6?

does anyone know what gearbox is used behind the v6 in a morgan? and if what other cars use it?

but first V6 = getrag, now = ford
I should have the ford, and yes, not as good as the getrag in my MINI

Sorry, my Morgan Handbooks state Ford five-speed-gearbox for both version (S 1 and S 2 Roadster) and I don't find any better information on the Morgan and gomog pages. Presumably "Jaguar Gearbox" for the version with the Ford ST 220 engine will not help either. Maybe you should phone the factory or a Morgan agent.

It is a version of the Ford MT75, Roderick. All the trads are using the Ford gearbox now. However, it has been modified for Morgan..different shafts and other internals.

The listed ratios are (assuming they are current):

1st 4.23
2nd 2.52
3rd 1.67
4th 1.22
5th 1
Reverse: 3.51

...which is all fed through through a 3.08:1 BTR rear axle (same as the Aero's). The box is not hard to find as it is used on MANY Fords..it is fining one with the Morgan ratios.

These ratios are correct for the first series of Roadsters (built until July 2007). They changed the ratios for the second series. I'll send you the data.

Thanks Rod. However, it should still be noted that the ratios are made for Morgan and will not easily be found elsewhere.

BTW, I know that there are others currently bidding to replace the box with another product.
