Aero 8s S II were fitted with these wheels by the factory. (Today (S IV) they use other wheels.)
As there are at least two S II owners on this forum they would be able to tell you who made them.

Unfortunately the company that made these wheels went broke, which is why MMC changed the wheels on the Series III and IV Aero's. The current Aero 8 wheels are these, but mine have titanium coloured centres:

Ledgerwood has a new series 4 with similar "special wheels". So they must be somwewhere.

The car can be found on the Morgan website in the used car section but for some reason I can't post all of the link

The company that makes the wheels in the photo quoted is Volks Racing... link to the wheels below.

The wheels on the S2 and first of the S3 Aeros were Rimstock. They didn't quite go bust but the factory is Russia where they were made stopped making wheels and started making suspension parts . Rimstock have a range of forged alloys available but not in that pattern. However, it is a common pattern and is available from a number or manufacturers as a cast alloy if you are not worried about the weight saving of the forged ones.

The special wheels shown are the ones used on the Aeromax whcih if I remember correctly are Rays Wheels which are Japanese. Volk is one of their brand names.

I was going to get these on my new Aero and then the factory decided that they would no longer let anyone have them. Some of the early S4 cars got them for no extra cost. Then they wanted a large extra premium to have them and finally they said no. A shame as I've had to get wheels made elsewhere as I dislike intensly the current Vauxhall Corsa style wheel that comes as standard. Of course, it's all a matter of personal taste. If the old Rimstock were available, that is what I would have had. Unfortunately, there is a slight design change so I couldn't take the wheels off my S3 to put on the new one.

Didn't give chapter and verse as it was just an 'of interest' enquiry. wink The wheels on the Ledgerwood car are the Aeromax wheels and these are indeed Japanese Ray Progressive ME's, but in a larger size than the Aero 8 wheels - 19 inch.

MMC have now restricted the fitting of these wheels to the Aeromax only, though some Aero 8's escaped with them on. frown

I had a little moan at the factory yesterday as there was an S4 having the hardtop fitted in preparation for delivery in the new year next to mine and it had the Aeromax wheels on it.

Mind you, I guess the current exchange rate is a bit of a killer on non UK produced wheels at the moment!

Those are the current Aero 8 wheels, as shown above Tom. If you look at the Aeromax brochure http://www.morgan-motor.co.uk/sales/aeromax_brochu... page 10, you'll see that although there is no manufacturer given the wheels are quoted as 19 inch.

These are the Ray wheels that I am having on my new Aero 8 that goes into build in February 2009 and are as shown on the Ledgerwood car above. smile

Speedline make the Corse SL and they are akin to the wheels from the Lancia Delta Integralle in magnesium I think.... certainly not what the Aero has on.. must be a mestake.
