Wings and Wheels 2008 at Wellesbourne 22/06/2008
Discussion
Last Sunday I went along to the “Wings and Wheels 2008” event at Wellesbourne, Warwickshire. This was an excellent event with many superb classic cars and the Vulcan bomber doing two very loud taxi trips down the runway. The cars were fantastic, especially the Morgan display which was organised by Brian Teece, a member of of the MSCC Warwickshire Centre.
I'm sorry that this is a posting after the event has taken place, but I hadn't attended the event in previous years and so I had no idea what to expect, otherwise I would have promoted it on here before it had happened.
I owned a Morgan Plus 4 4-seater back in 1970, and have always wanted to have another Morgan. Having retired now, I am in a position to fulfil that dream, and I am just about to order a new Roadster in the next few weeks, and I went to the meeting with a view to seeing a few Morgans in the flesh to help decide on colours, and to speak to some owners. I had a long chat with Philip and Margaret Parkes, who were both so very friendly and helpful, and able to give me a superb insight into comparing the qualities of the Roadster and Plus 8 (as they had one each!) which I found extremely useful.
I took about 12 photos of the Morgans that were there – see link below:

My son, Chris, also took photos of the meeting (better than mine!):

I wondered if any of you out there were displaying your cars at the event or were visitors?

Yes - I (Rogmog) started to use Talk Morgan a few months ago, and have posted this topic on there under the Classic Morgan area, and have had some responses.
As I currently own a TVR, and PistonHeads is very very active on TVR related topics, I thought I would try posting this topic in the Morgan area of PistonHeads to see what reactions I got. Well, I don't think I will bother in the future, and stay with using Talk Morgan for Morgan topics.
Yesterday, I specced up my new Morgan Roadster with Allon White, and put in my order, so I will be posting more on Talk Morgan in the very near future.
