One Sat early am starter in Fulham @ app 8.30am - silver, looked like a Series 3 but could have been an earlier one. Second spotted - another Aero - returning into London on the A3 app 5pm yesterday.

Anyone on here? Both looked stunning.

I was out an about yesterday, but not in either of those locations, so there were three active Aeros in london yesterday - a record!

Are you tempted Craig. I love the the Tuscan, but having read your car details those running costs are horrific. Maybe a swap for pretty bomb-proof BMW mechanicals is due? This looks nice - http://www.sgt.co.uk/used_detail.asp?id=630&ty...
biggrin

I do indeed like the Aero, especially for its character, sound and individuality all of which it has in spades. Unfortunately, the only likely successor to the Tuscan would be an Atom and I am several years from that!! Very nice Aero example you identified though...

Yes, the running costs of the Tuscan have been very significant - unfortunately. The first 6 months were brutal and constant, and depreciation nasty, esp with TVR going under, but to be fair, I am fairly prudent so £4k on (discretionary) warranty costs over the last 3 yrs has not been cheap. I have also been very disciplined in recording all costs in my profile. Makes me worried looking at it though, so best to continue driving it as often as possible to reduce the per mile amount.

Fair enough, I've never had an Atom but one of our members on a different Morgan forum came from an Atom to a new Series III - Aero 8. biggrin

I must say that I am on my third Aero 8 and have not spent anything on them other than normal servicing and some cosmetic improvements. The list of known faults is quite small, and really encompasses nothing too serious even though the earlier Series I's are now 6/7 years old.

Anyway, as you are not in the market I will stop extolling their praises. I'm sure that you;ll enjoy putting those miles on your Tuscan. beer

Excuse met Mr_Tony, I'm sure you are well aware that there must have been 4 Aeros running around and about London (if you count the M3 as such) in that case.

Have you forgotten me that quicklywink

ETA Oops just looked at the day/date  however I was out and about Farnham, Fleet and A3 Guildford area Saturday PM, so maybe the Dyno special has been spotted?

hehe.
Good run out yesterday, and good to catch you briefly.
Time to organise another weekend run soon.

Ah - wrong timings.

But there was yet another active Aero out there!

Before it broke down within 24 hours of ownership and was taken back to the dealer by the RAC!! frown

Man you are unlucky with cars sometimes Harry. Had mine 3 years (well 3 years in June) and I've never heard af an Aero breaking down before now.

Had the odd start issue with mine, but always fixed with a new 30Amp fuse. It's the only consumable on the car....

Six years ownership in June, over three cars, and have not had a breakdown so far. With BMW running gear, Aero's are normally pretty bomb-proof mechanically. biggrin

Sorry to hear that you have proved the exception to the rule Harry, it can only get better...
