Yep - was there in the pm with the light blue s1 Aero parked up in the middle.
Didn't sign up for the test hill, and having seen it I'm glad I didn't -surface looked bloody awful!
Did get some pics of the napier railton running though and some video too, so will try and put that together later in the week when I have time. Great to see the enthusiasm on the crew of old boys (and ladies) getting it up and running. And the smell - wow - most evocative. Can't believe the guts of the drivers hurling it round the rough banking at brooklands at an average speed of 150mph...

Yes Mr Tony - it was that concrete slope with grass between the sections. It started at 1 in 8 then went gradually upto 1 in 4 I belive. It was not easy to walk up or down.
The hill marshall told me that it orginally used in the 1920s and 30s for hill start tests. That must have been hard in a Austin Seven. I'm not even sure it would have got to the top. My father's Austin always struggeled on Butser Hill in Sussex.

you ahve to host them elsewhere then link to them (info shown in 'formtting help link' when you post.
Flikr / Photobox are usually good for free hosting...
Good work on the hillclimb - it looked rather intimidating! Good to know that other cars made it up there, maybe I'll give it a shot next time

Felt sad that mine was the only Aero 8 to try the Test Hill - electrifying none the less! Actually became airborne at the top on the third run - WONDERFUL!!!
I genuinely thought people were joking when I saw the test hill! Didn't think anyone was seriously going to drive up there.. You chaps are obviously nuts mr_tony said:

It all ended with a mint +8 dropping a "U" bolt and crashing & dragging the body on to the floor about 1/2 way up. The recovery truck had to back up the slope to rescue it!!!
