Just couldn't resist a cracking prestine 93 Morgan plus 4. Can anyone recommend a first class garage to have it serviced, distance is no object.

Congratulations, I'm sure you'll enjoy it. Have you considered having it serviced by the factory, that way you can get them to ensure that any work that should have been done, has been done. smile

Your profile says Durham so I would suggest John MacDonald at Lanchester. I have'nt used them personally but I know a fair few that have and they have nothing but praise for them.

If you live near Durham try John McDonald at Lanchester he is very highly thought of amongst Mog owners.

Hello chaps,

Great minds obviously think alike. I am giving serious thought to scrapping the "leased eurobox" and opting for a 4/4 instead. Will make contact with the MOC shortly, but in the meantime I would be most grateful if you could recommend a good London dealership for a jolly good rummage.

TTFN and ta ever so.

oh awesome! you lucky thing! I also recently bought a ivory, 93, +4.

Whereabouts are you looking to get your car serviced, north..south...? i may be able to recommend a couple of garages smile
- Techniques is a Morgan dealer and does everything from servicing to bodywork.
- i also know of a good non-morgan dealer, Miller Commercial Motors in High Wycombe which is popular with Morgans because of the good service and reasonable pricing

Very pleased with reception I received at their service desk.
Offered them an open cheque book to go over it with a fine tooth comb.
Result excellent and honest, I had informed them of a couple of drops of coolant on the garage floor after a faily long drive.
All it required apart from a routine service was new seals in the coolant pump as the originals had perished due to lack of use.
What more can I say! they could have took me to the cleaners but did not.
I guess they will be looking after it from now on.
Also supplied me with a very smart and clean courtesy car for the time they had it.
Thanks for the advice.

You did well. They are one of the older very reputable Agents. Your Morgan will do better there than the Factory and you will save significantly.

Servicing at the Factory is only preferable for Aero owners.

As a northerner sorry cannot advise on southern dealerships Purchased mine from Kelbrooke just South of Skipton in Yorkshire. Came out of a private collection, the owner of which had unfortunately just died and his collection was sold off by the family. Sold a Mercedes to get it. It has put the fun back into driving, It is years since I took a car out just to drive it. The Morgan makes you want to do that. No modern car has made me want to drive for pleasure for the past 20years. They are all to much of a sameness.

Like I said James I felt when I offered them an open cheque book it was a bit like saying "there's my wallet help yourself". I cannot praise them enough. They are an honest garage and dealership. From now on I will not pass them.
