No, it's deadly serious......
Wonder if it will have sliding pillar front suspension?......

I'm intrigued by the front wheel covers. There was a version of the Porsche 356 that had them. Does this mean the front wheels of the Morgan concept have a very narrow track so they can turn within the spats, or do they turn with the wheels...?
The alternative is the Citroen Eole approach, designed by Brit Geoff Matthews (who also did the original Espace before it was a Renault). The spats moved out-and-up using the hydraulic system for power when the wheels were turned beyond a certain point.
The thinking IIRC was that there was enough clearance for all sane high-speed wheel movement, so the aerodynamic problems of popping a spat out into the airflow wouldn't be an issue.
There are pictures of the car here www.citroen.mb.ca/cItROeNet/prototypes/eole/eole.html but nothing of the spat itself 'deployed'. Car did a great piece on it back in the day, but my copy is in storage. Incidentally, the holes drilled in the front spats were 'to let slush out in snowy conditions' - the engineers didn't believe there was a need, but management were nervous:-)
Well as Matt was working at Morgan whilst completing his degree it's hardly suprising there is a crossover there - the car has been in development for several years and the styling was completed ages ago! Boy done good IMHO - you don't get invited to Salon Prive (as the lifecar / aeromax - both his designs) if your work is not up to scratch....

Hmmm, do you know him personally? Did you spend 4 years with him, day in day out? I know of better designers than him who are still struggling to find jobs, I do believe he got the job with the factory because his Dad is good friends with Charles Morgan. Matt was driving Charles' Aero GTN about and into uni as thanks for the Aeromax. absolutely said:

As you get older, you will realise that contacts can get you a job but they cannot keep it for you if you are not up to it. Matt has been at Malvern a while now and has more than delivered. I can confirm that the market (i.e.) aero community (Aero redesign) + Aeromax, plus the huge interest in the Lifecar.
Final comment about the GTN just demonstrates total naivety, when in reality if that was the 'thank you' for the Aeromax, then Charles is laughing all the way to the bank while a kid does his development mileage for him!
Well good luck with the chip, don't let it weight you down
Maybe I was a bit harsh as the title of the thread I wrongly associated with you(!). On the other hand, you do seem somewhat narked about the fact that a colleague got a better deal. Just look at the profile it's given the course - thats got to be a positive for you and all your fellow students?

I like having the chip on my shoulder, it has become a friend to me, some say its jealousy, everyone would be jealous of him getting a good salary straight out of uni. The uni has a good reputation already, they don't need Matt's help. Maybe I was a bit harsh as the title of the thread I wrongly associated with you(!). Hmmm, I'd prefer to be working for VW, Honda, Cadillac and maybe BMW like my other colleagues. I'd rather be working than sitting at home dreaming while I am going through radio therapy.
