Just bought an old Plus 8 and thought I'd visit these shores.

Is it only Aero 8 owners that are up to date enough to know how to use computers because there are little or no threads containing anything else. Are all other morgan owners Old Gumbies?

Or is there a separate forum that caters for crusties like me? rolleyes

There is an e-mail forum called Mogtalk which is linked to the Morgan Sports Car Club from www.mscc.co.uk, this caters more for the traditional car owner.

Hi vpr,

The URL for the Mogtalk site is: [www.mscc.uk.com/]
Mogtalk is for all Morgan owners but the majority own traditional Mogs 'cos that's what there's most of. You don't have to be a member of the Morgan Sports Car Club to use Mogtalk.

You can also look on the web for "emog" and a good lookup site "gomog" wth an online workshop manual.

Cheers,

Hi vpr,

Welcome to the Morgan area, I know that you will enjoy your Plus 8. However, looking at your current fleet of cars - times are obviously not hard, despite your heading!driving

As well as the sites listed above, also try www.talkmorgan.com not so much trad traffic on it as yet, but a great bunch of Morgan owners who enjoy their cars.thumbup

Cheers

Thanks for the welcome and info...I'll have a look when I get a moment.

I've owned two plus 8s previously both in my younger days....very early 20's. Many courting hours spend driving around so lots of fond memories. 20 years on and the bug has been nibbling away till I finally made a call and subsequent viewing yesterday to see a plus 8.....88E in red, 2 owners and 43k. Picked it up today....It's what appears to be a very original car. i wanted a car that was not too perfect because my intention is to drive it rain or shine but no salt.
60 mile trip home and the memories are flooding back...even the smell. SUPERB, I'm loving it.

It has a Libra????exhaust system but otherwise std and my intention is to keep it that way.....(He says)

Sounds great fun, I also had Plus 8's in the past. I'm a bit envious, particularily as I'm Morgan-less until my new Aero comes next year.

Do let us know how you get on and what mods you eventually make! thumbup

There site is here: - www.librands.co.uk/

I have one fitted to my Aero 8 and it sounds pretty amazing

That's it "Librands exhaust...sounds good.

Anyone have an alternative to the std wheels fitted. I had 16" RFX revolutions on a previous +8 larger rears. looked good and in keeping with the car....feel I'd like to change to 16's again but revolution don't make them anymore. Any views?

That's a quick turnaround vpr laugh What about Minilites; don't know if they do the correct size, etc, but they look great, obviously imho.

Hi VPR and welcome

For the wheels and many other Morgan Toys try Steve Simmonds www.simmonds.uk.com/homepage.htm he is a very helpful guy and has most things on show.

Thanks

there doesn't seem to be many alterantive wheel options out there.

Simmonds do a lot of Morgan bits, thats for sure. Thanks for the link.

When you talk to Simmonds ask him to show you his ideas for the next generation +8....makes the Aero look like bland.

Mogtalk is mostly local stuff and jokes. I use emog now. It is the oldest and largest. Very international and a great technical help.

I've looked at Mogtalk and unless you've got an Aero there's not much going on.

Why is this.....Are most owners of the traditional Morgan too old to embrace modern technology so they can't use a computer.
