Report from St Tropez
Discussion
For all you guys who couldn't make it a bit of a report.
I am not trying to rub it in just letting you know how we are getting on - OK just a littla for Rich then
Met up with Aeroman for a great drive down including a great overnight stop and dinner. Passed another UK reg Aero on route giving a brief 3 car convoy.
Arrived at the fabulous hotel to see 18 Aeros eventually in the car park!
Great reception and dinner and today off for a drive in the locality.
And lastly a big welcome to PH (& TM)'s newest recruit 'Aerofrog' registered last night over dinner . Welcome on board Sylvan & Nikki (Aerofrgette?)
More later
Cheers guys
Andy
PS weather has been very kind to date!

Well, nearly home. only 400 miles to go tommorrow!
I promise full pics on my return but understand the new Aero8 Owners Club website will also carry the official (& others?) photo's.
After the meet up dinner and the first day's country drive and fabulous gourmet lunch we had Friday night to ourselves where most people had a relatively quiet evening.
Saturday dawned with a great brisk (!) drive through the mountainous courtryside to La Luc circuit. 22 Aeros, 2 (professional ?) drivers, Richard Wright of Winfield Racing school (and a few Le Mans 24hr to name but some of his many exploits) the ice racing World Champion, Charles Morgan - who has done a few laps in his time - and Jean-Pierre Jabouille the ex-formula 1 driver and ex - Renault GP Tech Director (IIRC). With 2 cars/drivers electing not to venture on the 1.7Km circuit you can see how plentiful the track & Instructors time was!
What will probably stay with me forever will be the 10/12 laps (I wasn't counting, but I was timing!) with J-PJ driving my car! To pinch Richard Hammonds phrase: he is a "Driving God". He was incredible. (Glad RH is on the mend btw - apparently he has an Aero on order as well!)
Anyway after an incredible day a brisk drive back to our humble hotel (€650/night high season!) and another fabulous dinner with a gourmet meal again. Breakfast this morning and then on our way.
Oh and to just add a final bit of excitement two (not one, TWO!) fantastic Hublot watches were donated and given to 2 members drawn @ random (no Brit winners regrettably) generously donated by the owner of Hublot.
The event was superbly and generously organised. Charles, Eric, Christine, Christian and the others were excellent hosts, interesting and
great fun to be around. And virtually all the attendees were great people.
Guys it was an incredible weekend. For those who wanted to come but couldn't, get signed up for the next event ASAP. Can the next event match this inaugral meeting? Not sure, but I strongly recommend being there to find out!
Cheers

By the way, in response to many who were after more power I was told by the nephew of Eric Sturdza, who may be driving the new Aero 8 GT3 entry next year, that the best way to generate more power out of the cars is by a bespoke exhaust system where upto 40 Bhp is available. This was acknowledged by the Morgan development Engineer at Le Luc (Really sorry, can't remeber your name if you read this).
Photos should be up this weekend!

Hi Guys
If anyone can help me with the photos I will upload them but I seem to have a problem as each time I try to upload them as before (cant remember host name) the system crashes and gets stuck, I get pee'd off and I walk away.
Rich (Mr_Tony) has offered to help but I appreciate he is busy at the mo so any other help appreciated.
Cheers
