I'm just looking for pictures of strange and unusual color combinations for the aero 8 as i'm speccing one up at the moment. So far my favorite color combination is the silver/blue. But i'd love to see any pictures really as theres nothing much around on the forum or online that i've found so far Thanks for any help!

I have an Aero 8 in Ferrari Tour De France Blue and my father has one in Ferrari Grigario Titano (silver).

There is one local to me in two tone salmon (bonnet) Black (wings & boot).

One of the most flattering colors I've seen is the Alfa Silver Perl a color they used in 2001/2. Very Nice.

Richard Thorne supplied one in TVR flip flip purple / gold. I've seen it on the road a couple of times both here in the UK and also while I was in Monaco earlier in the summer. Formidable looking beast!

See my profile for mine - it's in Rolls Royce Larkspur Blue - in fact the colour was one of the reasons I went for this particular car. (I think it's also the colour of the car on the original sales brochure - I know theres one other around in the same colour based in Kent or Sussex)

Mine is (will be when they get an engine ), a Bentley colour called Silverlake (which is a beautiful silver light blue).

While I think the car can look good in darker colours, my gut feeling was when choosing was that lighter tones show it off better and actually suit the Aero far more.

cerealsurfer ~ Lovely blue color there Im torn between the two tone and just a blue/purple full color!

mr.Tony ~ That sounds amazing, does it take away from the lines at all? Being such a complicated color? I also love your profile picture, its hard for an aero not to look amazing though

Nomis ~ Sorry to hear about the engine delay How long ago did you place the order?

You are too kind
I think the complex TVR style flip flop paint is impressive, but for my taste it's a bit OTT. Still it's easy to argue that the Aero is cartoonish anyway so flip flop paint is just taking it to the logical extreeme. It does as you say mean that you loose the lines fo the car somewhat!

I'd love to see a white Aero - bet it would look rather tasty.
SGT have a black winged / red bodied car in at the moment - that looks very classic - almost 20's 30's in appearance. Amazing how much effect the colour has on the Aero shape!

Gosh, they all make my Metallic Black with Black sound so boring but I love its 'Cruela De Ville' look.

Love the sound of white (and CS's dads Titanio Grigio, gorgeous colour!)

Must admit haven't seen a bad colour yet but the TVR purple sounds 'interesting' and I'm not keen on the brochure Green car from photos. Am really looking forward to seeing a few together!

Well the order was placed yesterday so still got some time to choose a color Very exciting none the less! I'm a big fan of the Bmw Blue (not sure what the exact name is) Of the very first Aero 8 produced. Right now i dont think i'd have the guts to go tvr purple or tvr flip flop without seeing it done already

See you're in IReland - can't be many Aeros there.
If you do find yourself in the UK on the 10th September please come join us at the meet - you'll get a chance to see a few colours in the metal.

That's a good plan actually. I have heard of one so far in the Republic! The aero is being ordered as a joint family type car, though i will steal it most of the time I do need to go over to the uk again to go to the Tvr factory for my own car so hopefully i could try and coincide the trip with that. Are you expecting many?

Now we ahve a date I'll be sending details to the Aero Owners club and asking if they'd mind passing the details along - would be good to get a whole fleet of Aeros...

My 2005 Aero 8 is in Reflex Green and I like it so much I have ordered my new Series III (week 12 build - 2007)in the same colour. That will make two of them in existence...

Looks from the picture like Avus Blue, as seen quite regularly on the E36 3.0 M3 between 1994 and 1997 (after which Estoril Blue seemed to take over, for the 3.2 Evo version).

I had a feeling it was that. Is Avus blue still available as i've heard it's not. But then again they must stock it somewhere for repaints and the like?

They must be able to reproduce it, like you say, to repair these cars.
I suspect this is done with one of those machines where you simply type in the correct code and it mixes up a batch using the appropriate components colours.
Just find out what the code is for a 1995 BMW M3 in Avus Blue.

But then again this car looks identical, down to the sticker marks on the right of the window and in the file name when found hosted online it says Pearl Blue. Hmmm i wonder

Glad you like it Funky, it certainly divides opinion in the MSCC! The photo you show is my car at Richard Thorne's, presumably awaiting my collection last September 2005.

I'll be pleased to send you some photos, but need an email or something. Incidentally, my Series I Aero was in VW/Audi Mint Green (metallic) and again it was not everybody's choice, but those that liked it - really did!

The Aero seems to respond well to colours that reflect light, due to the compound curvatures of the body; just an opinion. Anyway, good luck with your search for a spec.
