Aero8 - keeping the hood down....
Discussion
Guys,
HAving trouble driving around with the hood down (first time since last summer this weekend ). As always with this car, it's pretty difficult to ensure that the hood stays down - as soon as I go over 60mph, the lowered hood seems to inflate with air, and then continues to billow around like a wounded zeppeling while I drive along - the drag is considerable and it looks rather light you've trapped a lilo in the headrests. Not so cool in otherwords.
I've tried various differnet methods of lowering and stowing the hood - none of them work, except the one that involves a reel of gaffer tape, but thats downright ugly..
Anyone offer any help and advice?
Seems my only option is to go to simmonds for a tonneau / hood bag as that should sort the problem by keeping the darn thing under wraps...

looking forward ot hearing about the new pipes Should sound great - I've heard an Aero with the sports pipes and it does sounds rather nice!
Also getting a quick shift gear linkage, new ally gearknob and hopefully a mota lita wheel fitted before minihoon. In addition if I get the opportunity I might pay Mr Ray West a visit and get the ECU remapped if I have time.
I'll take some photos of how I'm putting the roof down and post them up, in case anyone can offer some tips, I fail to see how I can improve on things (dealer say I'm doing it right) without a tonneau though.

...550+vat for one in the leather ...
Could probably get one made cheaper than that!
err that is for a handmade one - you take the car to them and they make it bespoke. Apparrently thats the way most Aero accessories are done as they're all slightly different....
Agree it's not cheap though, mgiht have to make do with gaffa tape for minihoon....
