Looking at hiring either of the above for a long weekend for my wedding.

Don’t know much about Morgan’s but have a Caterham.

Is there much difference in driving experience between the 2?

What would you go for, heart says aero 8, head says plus 8.

Any help appreciated.

Aero 8 is seriously rapid and capable with lots of charm. The Plus 8 feels a lot more vintage. Great noise, but much less capability. Depends if you want to go quickly or just feel like you are going quickly. I think both or either would be super.

At least that was my take when I went out in both.

If its for your wedding weekend take the aero. The boot will make life easier otherwise you'll have to find one with a boot rack to rent.

Finding somewhere with a hire car maybe a bigger challenge, you might be able to get a new plus6 or plus4 from the factory or if you're feeling adventurous got for a 3 wheeler.

Assume you mean the traditional Plus 8 and not the Aero chassis Plus 8??

If so I’d take the old Plus 8 as you might already be bored of the ear bending and you won’t hear her in that

If it's a hire car, presumably it will be the Aero Plus 8; the old Plus 8 stopped production years ago.

Similar to drive, Plus 8 looks more 'traditional', less luggage space.

The last Plus 8 (no longer made) is an aero chassis/suspension with a BMW 4.8 V8. It's performance is identical to an Aero 8 as it's the same car - just a different body.
