I went for a test drive in this courtesy of those nice people at Bell & Colvill.... I was massively tempted.
Unfortunately I'm just too tall and the aero windscreen afforded me zero protection - so I was fully in the air flow. I don't mind the impracticality of no roof - but can't imagine long drives through France fully exposed.
It's a lovely looking thing though:

I had a good look over this car at the Brooklands Morgan Day in early Oct last year.
Impressive.
I wouldn't buy one though.... UK climate not good enough!
I have a 2002Plus8 and mainly drive top down but the hood is needed at times.
If the new Plus8 was cheaper though....with the Aero underpinnings it's an awesome car.
It amuses me that options for the Speecster include a windscreen!
Making it a Plus8 .

Out of interest how tall are you - I am 6ft4 and was potentially interested in this.Unfortunately I'm just too tall and the aero windscreen afforded me zero protection - so I was fully in the air flow. I've actually shrunk - and I'm very annoyed about it!!Had an annual MOT..... 'how tall are you?' the doctor asked. Six two. 'Er, no. You're not' But I AM. SIX TWO! 'Not any more, you're six one and a half'.
Maybe that slipped disc took some height off? Annoying.
Anyhoo. Long winded answer - you're too tall.
However..... if this is car number 8 in your collection, and you're only going to use it in hot weather - you'll be fine. But for spirited winter driving - you'll be way over the screen.

Nutter! No, seriously - well done you. I bought a Plus 8 in the end and am 100% delighted with it.
Your Speedster will be massive fun. What colour etc did you go for?
Whereabouts in the country are you?

I love the +8. It looks great (not quite as good as yours will) and handles and drives superbly. I've had a lot of cars over the years and the 8 is probably the car I'm most happy with.Porsche GT Silver
Side Exhausts
Speedster Black Alloys etc

Yours is going to look the total nuts - you must post some pics. Will you come south in it ever? I'm in Surrey.... not far from Goodwood.
Is it a manual or auto spec?
Drive with care in the wet, there are no electronic nannies helping you and they have rather a lot of power.
