with 200+ hp, limited to 60, but costing £50k?

Had a very quick go in one, and really enjoyed it.

Any recommendation of a good dealer near(ish) East London?

Thanks.

Are you looking into the Track Pack version or the Standard one?

The Track Pack, or Race Pack, gives you all the bits to take the car on track or go racing (roll bar, plumbed in fire extinguisher, etc)

I have driven the Morgan owned car, which has the Track Pack, and it is a brilliant vehicle; light, nimble and very quick. Also, the exhaust and engine note were a bonus I didn't expect. Brands Hatch Morgan had it on loan down at Goodwood and I came away very impressed.

Now is precisely the right time to buy one. Sales are slow and the MMC is going into the slowest part of the year. The Works just offered UK dealers free leather and greater discounts on 4/4 Sports and Plus 4s. They have been stockpiling new 4/4s, Plus 4s, and Plus 4 SSs for some time so delivery in a choice of colors should be almost instantaneous. Though it is unmentioned in the recent notice, bargaining for a Plus 4 SS should get you a pleasant surprise. (Buying MMC direct might get you even more, but a good dealer is worth every penny paid.)

Be gentle.

Saw at least 15 completed cars at the factory today.
Very impressed with the build & spec, trying to persuade my F-I-L to flip his 3W order to one of these.

Griffdude may be interested to know that his FiL is reporting in glowing terms on his recently delivered +4SS. It's everything it should be - a real +4 with all that implies, plus what promises to be a huge dose of extra performance. Very reminiscent of a friend's 1967 +4SS that I remember extremely well; even sounds similar with those throttle bodies giving a fair impression of the earlier car's twin 45DCOE induction music. We're still running in (weekend use only as insurance says no business use, not even going to the office!) and keeping the revs and throttle openings small. Looking forward to winding the rev counter beyond the 4k mark and finding the end of that long, long throttle pedal travel... Had to put the hood up last w/end which was a reminder that Morgans are best driven naked. (The car, not the driver.) I recall how much I hated using the hood and side screens in the past; dress for the weather and keep going over 40 mph and you won't get wet. This car is massively better built than my last one (+8 1969) but even after all these years it still feels incredibly familiar. One major new luxury I discovered when driving in the rain with the hood up: we now get a heated windscreen! No longer do you have to us the back of a gloved hand and make a smeary mess; just flick a toggle switch and behold, the screen clears.

This car's going to be fun. More anon.

I bought it from my local dealer Allon White in Cranfield. They have an RAF Blue one for sale in the showroom (or at least they did last weekend) - looks gorgeous. Mine is Iris Blue, looks even better.

Was lucky enough to have a passenger ride in this Morgan on Sunday ! A while since I've been in a Morgan , excellent roadholding , nice induction sound , and when she's run in will be snapping at the heels of most modern 'sports cars'.
