please forgive the references to "hood" and "trunk" and the some of the inaccuracies my detailer was typing...he did pretty well actually being completely unfamiliar with the car
also please forgive the "my +8" reference because this was my Dad's car who we lost in 2001 and I'm just the caretaker of the car regardless of the name on the ownership
Dad was the 3rd owner, and having cared for this car basically since he got it in 1998 I can attest that the previous 2 owners left the paint a complete mess
I've replaced the bonnet-belt with a sheep-wool backed piece so we hopefully avoid the mess the factory belt left now...and I love the belt on this car...so proper
I've spent the last 10 years taking the car to a level I think is worthy of honouring it's owner....even though it's owner probably would've just driven it and maintained it and shrugged his shoulders over the condition inevitable
I keep the car crazy-clean but taking power-tools to the paint to correct the damage terrified me
the damage is now gone
not too bad for 21 years old
cheers
