My TVR needs two new front tyres pretty soon, but the rears are fine... It currently has S02s all round, but I believe these are no longer available...
Can I run different tyres front and rear or will this make it handle strangely?
I am reluctant to change the rears as they are fine...
I had Eagle F1s on my last car and loved them as they were almost as good in the wet as the dry - Could I run F1s on the front with S02s at the back, until my rears need changing?
Cheers

Best thing to do is ring tyre dealer/manufacturers and ask.
Mind you I was told I could have SO3's on the back and keep the SO2's on the front but not the other way around and others (Manek?) do actually have the reverse without problems! So who knows!?!?!?
While I'm here I'll also answer the inevitable question:
Yes SO3's are good, I and plenty others love them.

so long as you have the same tyres on each end of the car, you'll be fine, it will obviously change the handling characteristics from the ones you have at the moment, but you'll soon get used to it.
So SO3's at the front and SO2's at the rear until the SO2's wear out will be just dandy, thank you very much.
