I know from previous posts that the factory quoted hp figures are deemed to be on the 'optimistic' side, but by how much? Are we talking 10%, 25%, 50%?!!

Dunno about pub talk, but here's a hard fact. Friend of mine had a lancia delta integralli tuned to 302hp on the dyno ! He still managed to get smaller in the rear view mirror though. Not as small as most that try, but still small is behind in my book
As I keep telling my rpm buddy, tourque is what matters. Tourque is the real mans 'balls out' fix. Bhp is just tourque*rpm/5252 which is just maths and so can easily be blagged to death and sound good at many pubs, especialy if engine revs owt above 5252 rpm. Crikey, geek speak and only 2 pints 8( Somebody stop me...

where's me keys

well the bhp at the wheels for the average 4ltr is about
170 so about 220 at the flywheel. with a little work you can get them to 196 (mine, catless and rechipped) at the wheels or 240-250 which is about what tvr quote

the only speed 6 i heard of on the rollers was quoted as being about what tvr say

not long now eh Rob tee hee
