Everyone,

Thanks for your help so far!

The AA checked the car yesterday and said there was a 6 volt power supply to the lucar connector that connects to the Engines pressure guage. AA said this was low. Are they correct?

Today i intend to:-

1 Check the power supply to the guage in the cabin (Black, Green and "Green and brown wire) - which wires do i need to connect to to check?

2 Check the guage itself actually works

3 Check the pressure guage on the engine works (how do i do this? What tools do i need?)

If:-
the engine guage works,
it's sender wire (lucar connector) has power,
The cabin guage connectors have power and
the cabin guage works

am i right in saying the problem lies with oil pump or some other engine problem?

Any advice welcome!

Cheers

If you had the AA out should they not have checked the items you are going to check today?

Better to let a man who can, do.

I'm with Mikey

I'm all for DIY where it's easy and fun, but this is potentially quite serious as it involves the engine's life-blood. I wouldn't drive it until it has been checked out by an expert.
