1. Any ideas on weather proofing chim roof, been recomended fabsil but wouldnt have a clue where to get it or how to apply it, any help much appreciated...

2. Do i need to degrease the underside of the car before using waxoyl. Seems like this could be a bit awkward, cleaning and applying with out ramps!

Fabsil, you can get that from any outdoor shop, Blacks, Millets, AS Adventure, Cotswolds, etc!
I use it for Waterproofing my Rucksacks for Hillwalking! I use the stuff you have to brush on, can get into the little holes better, but there is a spray on version available! I don't know if I'm doing it right, but I put two or three coats on, nice and even all over! I use a 1" brush, seems to work fine, never had any problems with it. Fell in a river on my last walk, I was drenched, my kit, which I rolled over onto (so it when under the water) was fine!! I intend to do an exposure test soon! See how long the bag has to be in water before the water gets in! Just in-case!

Waxoyl, Haven't a clue!!

Hope thats little help!

Cheers
Stuart

Thompsons Water Seal (NOT the 'ultra?' stuff, just the normal) is the stuff to use.
Mine leaked before I did it - soggy carpets under the hood rim, down by the seatbelts & round the rear of the door frame. Dry as a bone now.

That's the stuff. Just be careful it doesn't drip on paintwork. It won't damage paintwork but you'll need to get of using white spirit if it dries which is both a pain and increases the likelihood of damage.
