Just bought my baby over to germany, great fun on the way over, (bye bye beemer M3) but now have multiple dramas: knackered rad- big stone hole, new light lenses, and a 30k service, have been quoted £785 for the lot, (recon rad) is it just me or is that steep?
still having fun tho, the bike is getting some attention as well now!!
thanks

The radiator is a customised Range Rover jobbie. I believe the key difference is an extra bend in the bottom hose pipe (to miss the chassis I guess). They do cost £250 to £300. Why not see if you can get it recored (if you find someone to take it out of the car/refit it, then take it to a recoring place).

Lights I think you might need to bond the headlamp pods back which may take some labour.

Is that the only difference! Surely they must have done some serious stuff to it to make 'em overheat and leak like that 'cos my 2 V8 rangies over many years were totally bomb proof and my Chim rad has been repaired twice in 6 months!

(OK I didn't say it was repaired properly did I, I don't want to start another reliabiliy thread)

I think the rad is prone to cracks etc due to the chassis movement/bending. This is especially true when driving over uneven surfaces at low speed ie entering a garage/driveway at an angle
I've had 2 repairs in 2 months!

I had exactly the same stuff last April!!!

Head lamp £90 with fitting
Rad £280 with fitting
Service (36k) - £350

All done at a TVR Independent. Your quote looks in the right ball park.
