My car is in Peninsula having a 12k service at the moment (when they say 12k , I hope that's miles not pounds!!) one thing they have noticed is that the rear diff mounting bushes are worn , anyone done these before , is it a hard job and what is involved ? I am gonna get Steve Heath's bible but can anyone give me an idea of what's gotta happen . Thanks

P.S. Thay have also done me a sports exhaust conversion , so beware Nova-man , from tomorrow I'm gonna vibrate you off the bloody road !!

I can’t offer any personal experience but remember a previous topic which referred to the job being "a pig to sort out as it is virtually inaccessible". Generally checked at a service. Mine is due for a service next month and may well need the same job.

Yup, it's not easy as you have to drop the rear axle down which is a PIG!

Reckon on about 400 quid labour.

There are front and rear bushes. One pair (rears??) are easy to get at - I had mine replaced at the last service - not too expensive. The front (I think) is the tricky one ... maybe you'll get away with only doing the easier to access ones.
