Have you ever done any of the following ...

Polished your car to within an inch of its life, then taken it straight out for a blast restoring it to its former filthy glory within 30 minutes and then wanted to clean it when you got home?

Sat in your car in the garage, grining from ear to ear, with no intention of driving it anywhere?

Looked at your car out of the window before you got into bed?

Admired the reflection of your car in a shop window whilst you were stuck in traffic?

Looked forward to driving to work in the morning?

Driven a very long way home just because the sun appeared from behind the clouds and you could put the roof down?

OK, I admit it, I need help, I've done all of these. Come on, confess, you've done something worse haven't you!?! Let me know I'm not the only TVR headcase in the country.

Don't forget:

Going out into the car park at lunchtime just to walk past it.........

Going to work EARLY!! just to ensure it's parked where you can see it from the window......

Leaving the motorbike (R6!) at home.......

Getting out, when you have gone to the station to pick someone up, so you can walk round and round it with an admiring drool.........

Ah, yes there he is..... ....suppose I should start some work now......

Ok, we have:

Get her outta the garage, wash and wax it, and put it away again...

Stare it whilst walking away in a car park..

Nearly crash into the car in front whilst staring at the cars reflection on that nice dealers window beside the road....

Just start her up, listen to it for a mo, then leave it where it was...Whilst grinning...

We are ALL Sad/Mad - It comes with the TVR ownership methinks.

I can't really comment on this thread as I seem to have spent far more time under the car than above it. If the car were a woman then this would be an entirely good thing. But it's not. It's a car. And the underside isn't that pretty.

This 'car blindness' strikes remarkably fast. Looking back to when I bought the thing, I spent at least 1 hour going over it from top to bottom, but in retrospect I don't appear to have checked anything at all really (like whether it had 4 wheels for example). All of the various foibles are now slowly unfolding as the thing is in bits in my garage.

I do remember spending an unnatural amount of time looking at the engine. Not really doing anything in particular. You know - just, well, caressing it.

I wonder what it looks like in the daylight?

Car parked at the front of the house - go out for a cigarette just to look. Should go out the back, but nicer to go out the front to "check its still there".

Sad or what - its just a car after all (ducks)

OK. I reckon I can win on the "sad" stakes. I have a SCREEN SAVER that constantly rotates pictures - of the car!

Beat that. Drive to work. Get out. Stare. Go inside. Stare at screen. Go outside. Stare. Go home. Stare.

Oh boy. I think I may need help...

I took an extreme close up photo of the TVR badge on my bonnet, scanned it (analogue camera, you see) and have it as the wallpaper on my PC (well, it's my girlfriend's really ) - "TVR" covers 75% of the width of the screen.

It was wet when I took the photo, so it has some blobs of water on it as well - looks very "trendy", I'm told!
