After what seems like an eternity of crap weather had a good day of sunshine, woke up this morning saw that the road looked dry and the sun was trying to break through the clouds. Put on huge coat got outside dropped the roof(targa styleee)once warm got on what was a fairly un-congested A406 and everything went fantastically well. The cars ahead got out of the way, the lights changed at the right time, 'THAT micra never pulled out unexcpectedly and the ROZZERS must have had the day off.
Realised I love my car... she's just awe inspiring, handled wonderfully, sounded magnificent, blew everything so far away that i could have had the whole road to myself.
I think it's the sensation that i have now that is impossible to relate.
Consequently many people get bogged down on the irrelevant detail's (BHP,0-60,reliability,residual's etc...)
I hope by the grace of GOD i am always in a position to own one of these cars because now i KNOW what i have been missing out on wouldn't want to go back....roll on the summer!!!!

Definately agree, we need more dry days to exercise the right foot without fear of the rear end overtaking the front. Roll on global warming.

First time this year I had the top off.

Enjoy and take care.

I can't believe it's taken you until February to get the roof off. As long as it's not actually raining then what excuse do you need to put the roof down?!!

Singh, Totally agree with the post - Couldn`t have put it better myself!! Mine was out today and even my neighbour asked if he could come for a ride!!
He has got an MX5 and was totally blown away with the car - all I really had to do was start it up and he was drooling!! Left saying he wants one and I think that we may have two TVR owners on this estate before long!!

By the ways guys if you live in Surrey then come down to the Surrey TVR meet - 3rd Wednesday of the month at the Talbot pub in Ripley High Street - just off the A3 - be good to meet you - we are a very friendly lot and have lots of pistonheads readers there!!

All the best

Neal,

I'll do my best to make it. Have a 4.0 Starmist Green Chim and live in Guildford.

Kind Regards
Brian

Quality weather on saturday. Took a mate to pick up a Chimp 400 and got out in afternoon (Roof down of course) and blew some cobwebs away! Myself and two mates, total 12litres of V8 bliss surrey countryside scaring sh*t out of the sheep. Awsome!!!!!!!
Sometimes think of selling my car during wet months but it only takes 1/2 mile to sort out those stupid thoughts.
Thinking of attending back home this year. Owned a Tiv for last 6 years but never been able to attend due to exams in May. Any of you guys been? Any Good?
Roll on summer

Ye, I concur!

Took a mate over to Fulham on Saturday, just driving through Putney and saw a rather pleasant maroon coloured Chim coming the other way.

Best bit was, it was being driven by a gorgeous blonde!

Motoring just doesnt get any better than this!

Matt.

coolest thing I ever saw was a few years ago in Munchen Gladbach on a warm summer saturday, black seac with two blondes in it burbling down the main strasse...both in shades of course
