Have to disagree. When I get back from abroad and go to get my car from my mother's garage, It's just like picking up the car for the first time all over again. More often than not this pleasure is doubled, as I usually have to go back once to set up the battery for it to be recharged and then again when the charge is done. Have yet to experience the pleasure(dubious) of selling and being without a TVR as I have had one for 8 yrs. BTW going to get the car this afternoon, she shiould have plugged in the charger this morning and the sun has just come out .

Couldnt agree more Swan Jack!!

I drive a 12 yr old clapped out 1300 Escort to and from work during the week.

Weekends though ... get the 450 Chimaera out and take it for a blast... big grins everytime!!!

Can't imagine being without a TVR. Will only sell the Chimaera when ready to trade up to a Tuscan or a Tamora.

Regards

Can't agree. It may be "just a thought" but one that's clearly (if you're read *anything* around here) not shared by the majority of TVR owners here.

As such, why did you waste the thirty seconds it must have taken to write that?

PS. You might find the following keys useful in aiding the comprehension of your posts: . , {shift}

Blimey Chuck - are you trying to take my position as "Chief Upsetter" !

But seriously, I suspect your note was more out of frustration at the lack of interest in your car from prospective buyers.

I'm sure you were chuffed to bits when you bought it but, as you have decided it's not for you, you're now finding it hard to find a sensible buyer who appreciates how nice your car is (hence the second great day being the day you get rid of it ?). I guess once you've made your mind up then you don't want all the aggro, tyre kickers etc etc. I think to suggest that you're a sh*t driver just cos you've decided it's not for you is out of order but I don't think people here understand your position (and the reason for your post). I think that anyone negative about anything (values, ownership experience etc) here seems to upset others who see themselves as 'real' enthusiasts.

Anyway Chuck, I thought your WRX was here now so you should have something to occupy you. Actually, I thought you were going to part ex the TVR ?

I'd be interested in yours at £11,500 but I know you want a chunk more (which is fair enough) and you've already been offered this in part ex (but I guess if you could sell for cash you could then get a discount on the new one ?).

I can't believe how values seem to be falling ('P' plates under £14k etc) but maybe that's the time of year ? Or maybe the cheaper ones are a bit tatty ??

Chuck

I was defending you above. Your original post here is a bit odd but I think I understand what you meant and why. I think the comments re your driving skills is reflective of some of the unpleasant types who contribute here.

I have to say I'm disappointed. I had the feeling that TVR owners would be enthusiastic helpful sorts but many of the threads I've seen appear to have been written by hooligans and idiots.

My contribution to the "i'm a smart arse and sold my 'N' plate for 3 trillion pounds" thread was meant to help those looking to buy (not those selling or just owning). It just doesn't add up that a guy gets 15 calls for a fully priced 'N' plate but you get none for a reasonably priced 'K' plate. How is THAT explained ? Did he advertise in "More Money Than Sense" weekly or something ??

Oh f*ck it - I'll go and buy an M3 instead. And at least then I can expect fellow owners to be obnoxious gits rather than just being disappointed to find that they are after i've bought one !!!

People obviously read more into these threads than I thought I meant no malice in my comment probably the same as as the first initial statement although I do feel it was a little bit harsh , especially given the basis of this forum.

As for Dexdringle's comment , I am far from "an unpleasant type" thank-you.

as for you corin, i think that both you AND dex should make you way to barons to put in that m3 order, do not pass go, do not collect 200 pounds and in the meantime join the other 27,000 m3 drivers in our neck of the woods, who you will no longer be in any danger of standing out from - more power to you (and tell us all when you're coming by cos we'll get out chimps our and burn you're f£$%^&g asses up
