Can't keep up!

Hi,
I have a 4.0 Chimaera that is quite fast as you all know, BUT my big brother has a 4.2 Cerbera that is FASTER
And i was wondering is if was possible to improve the performance WITHOUT affecting the drivability at low speeds and in traffic!
I had a BMW before with a high compression head and a high lift cam, but it was very unhappy in traffic etc....! any ideas? I also want to keep the car naturaly aspired!

RPI Engineering do a nice 5.2l rover engine, 380bhp 400+lb

Or twin turbos that will get ya 240 to 350 bhp.

I don't think your 4.0l will ever match a Cerbera.

Sell it and buy a 5.0litre

ID start by upgrading the suspension and the brakes ( oh i did) you'll be amazed how mush faster this makes the car, safer too...
