Hi All,
Still madly in love with my new toy, but I noticed today that above 65mph there is a very intrusive whistle from the top of the glass - It doesn't appear to be sealing very well against the roof seal - Is there an easy way of improving this seal??

Behind the door trim you get at the window gubbins apparently. In there there is an adjustable screw that limits the height the windows can be put up. You need to get to that screw, and apparently you need to have an extra elbow somewhere between your hand and the elbow you already have to get to it.

My dealer did mine, and they didnt charge anything extra so either that was a sweetener or it cant be too hard.

A number of the kind folks who are willing to work on their TVR's told me this so someone may post with proper instructions as opposed to my ham fisted 'overview'.

Matt.

Pleased the pic was useful - it's not easy to photo something you can't see.

Even when adjusted too far up, my driver's door window/gap still seems to make a lot of noise above 125mph. My girlfriend knows when we're "going a bit too fast now" by the seal on the top of the driver's window 'going' at this speed. On a private road you understand

I find that there is some whistling at lowish speeds if the roof panel is slightly off centre. Straightening it, even if it is only a few mill, sorts this out.

Does everyone else find there is quite a bit of wind noise from where the windscreen meets the roof panel at speeds of 80mph+?? I get very little below that speed, and then a fair bit above it. I guess it is quite handy insofar as it stops me risking my licence on the motorway, but also a pain if I'm on a long, late motorway cruise.

Nope, but then no two TVRs are the same. For instance on mine the 'fit' of the passenger door is different to the driver's door. Both fit, but differently. Maybe a bit of the roof is sitting proud or something.

There is another alternative, which is what I did.

Get the sports exhaust conversion done (basically the baffles in the silencers get removed)

Problem fixed. Can't hear no wind noise. Just 108db @ 4500 revs of V8..

Worth every penny.... nice..!!
