YEAH!!!
I brought a 96/P 4.0 BLue Chimaera, with a very tasty Blue roof last tuesday and it is GREAT. I took it up to Birminghams TVR Specialist 2 days ago to have it serviced and to renue the Warrente. They was VERY helpful and told me that i had brought a really clean and sound car with nothing wrong other than 3mill left on my rear tyres! Im so pleased now coz it is always a worry buying a second hand car PRIVATELY! It is fast and good on corners, but my brothers 4.2 Cerbera is a BEAST and leaves me in a straight line. But im right behind him again on the corners because my balls are bigger!!!LOL
My brothers car may be faster, and better looking, but mine is much easier to drive, more reiable, and when the sun comes out, i can get a tan while driving!!!
I used to be a bit of a boy racer, but since i have had the TVR i feel that i have carmed down a bit......... maybe because i have just spent alot of money!!!

Hi Ross,

Great, sounds like you've found yourself a goodun. Get out there and enjoy it and don't forget to wave to the rest of us.

You're right, spending lots of money does have the effect of making you more responsible. If this is your first car with this sort of performance (sorry, can't tell from your profile) would you have just a little bit of money left over to go and get some training? Apart from the obvious benefits, it's great fun, you don't need to look out for plod and you can't get the grin off your face for days. Do you know where the limits are and how to react to keep the car under control when you overstep them? Unfortunately the added stability afforded by the lowering of the centre of gravity due to having big balls isn't always enough.

Enjoy.

Don

I have had some training on the track in a single seater, and it was pissing down the day i did it so i got loads of pratice at controling overstear slides! I got the 3rd fastest lap out of 25 people so i was really pleased. I should be going to a track day in my new TVR but i will be taking it easy i think!!!
