[Grin] Well, I finally did it!!

After a few weeks of deliberation, I have fulfilled stage 2 in my list of ambitions and bought a TVR..

It's a 97 4.0 in Brooklands racing green and I LOVE IT!!!!

Did about 75 miles last night (I live in London!) and my girlfriend drove it too, and she loves it....
One very happy man!!!

Hurrah - congratulations....

Enjoy it as much as you can - cos it will only get better once the sun comes out and the roads dry up. You can just hear the rumble from here...

Only problem is the demands owning a TVR comes with - mines off to Cambridge this afternoon as my wife (Emma) is taking it to lunch with some work friends! Nothing more than a show off - dont mind really, but be careful once you start there is no stopping....

Cheers and happy motoring...

Paul

Congrats…. I am very jealous, especially as I’ll probably have to wait another 12-15 months before I get mine as I promised the missus we will move first......also I need a garage!

You say you live in London? I Live in SE London and haven’t seen any TVR’s for ages!

SW12 - there is 2 Chims and a Griff on the street next to mine!!! No garage but there is much more desirable cars round here so I should be OK..
I have a full car cover that I may use also...

Glad to hear a Chimaera has found a new home. I am sure she'll be well treated and that you'll be rewarded with miles of unique motoring. TVRs in London are fine. As far as covers are concerned, take a look at Leven Hood Cover, waterproof + quick and easy to fit and remove.
Looking forward to hearing that one roar on Brompton Road !
Cheers

He pointed out one or two things but nothing to put me off - I'm going to get it serviced soon so they will be sorted then....

I will check my diary and see if I can make it to the Feb meet - What time is it at?

These local meetings, quite fancy getting to one myself.

Live in SW london, not sure to enquire after the City region or the Surrey region (two minutes from Roehampton).

Has anyone been to both?

Matt.

Lee and Hugh,
Yes my cerbera is Rosso Red but I hope you didn`t see my car at David`s today- should be at home in the garage!!
The Surrey meet is the third Wednesday of every month at the Talbot pub in the High Street in Ripley just off the A3 - past M25 junction if coming from London and take first exit signposted Ripley and you can`t miss the Pub - starts anytime from 8.00 ish - we get a good crowd and have a laugh - lots from Pistonheads as well!! Love to see you both -also see the web site at

All the best

The City meets up on the first Monday of the month at 6.30pm. The Venue is Dirty Dicks Pub on Broadgate across from Liverpool St Station. Nobody turns up in their TVR as parking is poor and we tend to have a few too many beers to drive home afterwards. The club is always to be found at the back of the bar, usually talking B@11@£<5.
