I see that Leven technology offer a service to paint the 2 rocker covers to your taste. When in the factory, I think I recall seeing that the Rover V8s for the Chim come in a nice TVR purple colour. My 1996 Chim has the standard raw aluminium finish. Has anyone out there had their rockers painted (no jokes please - especially those involving body paint). Also, how much of a job is it to remove the rockers (I know how to unbolt and fit with a new gasket - but what about all the plenum gubbins??).

Thanks

Graham

Id wait till you need to replace a rocker gasket or somthing as the plenum needs to come off to take one rocker off. If i were you i'd pick up a spare set of rocker covers of an old rover sd1 get them apinted and spalp them on when you have some work done... thats what i plan... as i have a spare complete v8 knocking around in the garage...

Mines a 4.0. Maybe I should keep the existing rockers and get a 5.0 litre block.
