Anyone got, or seen, an engine-turned ally dash on a Chim? I'd like to see a picture.
Also, anyone know if they would still make 'em in the pattern of a 1995 model ? I'd be tempted to upgrade if they did.

Used to think it sounded a bit OTT but seeing the new Morgan's dash I've changed my mind.

Seen it more than once and each time on a Giallofly yellow car with yellow instrument dials. Don't have a pic though.

I prefer the brushed steel to the turned alloy myself, but each to their own, eh?

Anyway, since our cars are so low-volume, I'm sure you can retrofit almost anything.

I asked Jamie at Hawthorns a similar question about a brushed steel dash for my Chimaera 500, and he reckoned that since its about £300 when specified with a new car, it would probably be about £600 to retrofit because of the extra labour of swapping all the instruments over.

Jon

I had the machine turned dash on my Griff when i ordered it new, remember seeing a TVR postcard of the chimp dash with the turned finish which got me interested, it looks even better on a chimp.

Definately reccomended

I've just got my new Griff with an Alloy dash. Looks great and everyone who's seen it reckons it looks good too (unless they're just humouring me).
I'd definitely recommend it.
