Just a quick public note of thanks to Paul Brettle (not to mention Emma/Smudged and little'un). Paul kindly offered to help me with my car door today - the trim had come completely adrift, screws having pulled out of the door itself.

Turned out that Paul has exactly the right shape of arm to reach that rearmost nut that holds the hard trim to the door. I owe you a pint matey. (And you too Emma).

So, was my door correctly assembled when I took delivery of the car? Nope, not by a long shot. had the supplying dealer had the door in bits to try and fix the wibbly wobbly window and mis-aligned A pillar? Yes. Could I do anything much about the (still) wibbly wobbly window and the (still) mis-aligned A pillar? Not too much... possibly a dealer/specialist job and a new A pillar. Arse. Still, my trim doesn't flap and rattle in the breeze any more, so that's good

Bad news: I forgot to take my digital camera and take pictures of the various stages of door disassemblage. Sorry
